On the first day of this illegal and unprovoked war of aggression by Israel and the U.S., a horrific strike on a girls’ school in Minab killed more than 100 children and their teachers. This “sneak attack” by Washington and Israel occurred in the midst of active negotiations—a grim echo of how the the earlier 12-day-war of aggression in June 2025 began. According to the Omani Foreign Minister, Tehran had already made substantial concessions. Because no warning was given—while the duplicitous United States feigned ongoing serious negotiations with Iran and had publicly scheduled a new round of talks for the following week—families were left defenseless against this sneak attack. Children were in school when the bombs fell; classes were only canceled after the slaughter had already taken place.
The U.S. and Israel are now bombarding civilian centers with the same ferocity once seen in Gaza—systematically flattening residential blocks, markets, and hospitals in a campaign of indiscriminate slaughter.
Even the British Telegraph—a newspaper long hostile to Iran and one that has spent years actively advocating for war against the country—describes Tehran as an “apocalypse”: burning hospitals, children buried under rubble. The paper reports that “Highways choke with those fleeing as others shelter with nowhere left to run.”
In a new low, the U.S. military targeted an unarmed Iranian ship far from any combat zone. The vessel, carrying only sailors and dignitaries, had been participating in a joint naval parade in India at the invitation of the Indian government. It was cruising in international waters near the Sri Lankan coast when it was hit. Desperate for a psychological victory after the failure of an initial regime-change phase—and facing retaliation against U.S. bases—Pete Hegseth’s Pentagon chose a soft target for a sickening war crime.
Hegseth was a former Fox News host and served as CEO/executive director of Concerned Veterans for America (CVA), an organization funded by the Koch billionaire oligarchs that advocated for privatizing VA health care, limiting eligibility (e.g., to service-connected disabilities only), and reducing overall government-provided benefits to redirect funds toward “war-fighting capability.”
The Koch oligarchs have also made massive investments in Israeli tech startups.
It was precisely this background that served as his primary qualification for promotion to Secretary of War.
Hegseth declared that the U.S. will “rain death and destruction” on Tehran. For him, this sinking was also a “win”—a deliberate display of sadism intended to show that the U.S. follows no rules of war.
The act has also sparked a massive diplomatic scandal. While the government of Narendra Modi has remained suspiciously silent, many suspect India lured the Iranians into the exercise only to sell them out, following a $10 billion weapons deal between Modi and Netanyahu. This perceived betrayal has disgusted Modi’s opponents and unsettled his supporters, casting doubt on whether India can ever host such naval drills again.
The attack was militarily completely irrelevant. While the United States celebrates the destruction of Iranian warships in the Gulf of Oman as a major success, these vessels—mostly British frigates from the 1970s dating back to the era of the Shah—are outdated, barely combat-capable units that pose no serious threat whatsoever.
This is not a naval war. It is purely a campaign to humiliate Iran.
The suffering of the Iranian population—already crushed by years of strangling sanctions and now additionally battered by bombs—evidently still does not suffice for the sadistic warmongers in Washington and Tel Aviv.
And what role does Germany play in this?
During the illegal and unprovoked war of aggression by Iraq against Iran from 1980 to 1988—encouraged and supported by the West—Saddam Hussein’s regime used chemical weapons indiscriminately against Iranian soldiers and civilians. More than 80 German companies supplied the precursors, equipment, and expertise necessary to produce mustard gas and sarin. As a result, hundreds of thousands of Iranians were killed, and countless others suffered permanent damage to their respiratory systems, nervous systems, and eyesight.
Civilians in border regions suffered as poison gas clouds contaminated villages, farms, and towns, devastating families, farmers, and unprotected medics. In Iraq, chemical attacks were also directed against Kurds, most notoriously during the Halabja massacre (March 1988), when around 5,000 civilians—mostly women, children, and elderly people—died in a single day, while thousands more were left to endure lifelong suffering.
These crimes expose Germany’s deep complicity in one of the worst chemical weapons campaigns of the late 20th century—another chapter of industrially enabled mass murder. The gassing of innocent people appears, for this country, to be a particularly dark constant of history.
And once again Germany—of all countries—supports an unprovoked, illegal war of aggression against Iran. At the same time, Berlin denies Iran its international legal protections. Toward a country to which it has caused so much suffering, Germany is behaving shamefully and without shame.
Friedrich Merz: Germany’s cruelest chancellor since Adolf Hitler. A new generation of evil Germans reminiscent of the 1930s is emerging (screenshot from The Telegraph).
The most damning aspect, however, remains the refusal to rescue survivors—something that evidently did not trouble the German chancellor either. Even German U-boats during the World Wars often adhered to the ‘prize rules,’ surfacing to allow crews to evacuate or providing assistance to the shipwrecked.
WWI: In 1916, the German U-43 rescued the crew of the Romanian ship Bistrița, sheltering them inside the submarine until they could be transferred to safety.
WWII: Despite the “Laconia Order” (issued only after a U.S. bomber attacked a U-boat engaged in a rescue mission), German commanders frequently provided food and medical care to survivors as a matter of naval tradition.
International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and the Geneva Conventions require parties to take “all possible measures” to care for the shipwrecked. Rule 111 of the ICRC’s customary law specifically mandates the protection and rescue of those at sea.
Article 18 of the Second Geneva Convention (1949)—ratified by the U.S. Senate in 1955 and therefore binding on the U.S. military—states:
“After each engagement, parties to the conflict shall, without delay, take all possible measures to search for and collect the shipwrecked, wounded, and sick… ensure their adequate care… and search for the dead and prevent their being despoiled.”
When modern Western aggressors discard humanitarian obligations that even the Third Reich occasionally upheld, we face a chilling reality: a new breed of Nazism has emerged. This generation of warfare doesn’t just push the boundaries—it operates entirely beyond the reach of law, morality, or human conscience. We are witnessing a mutation of evil that is more ruthless, more systematic, and more indifferent to life than the horrors that came before.
