No one should still harbor the delusion that the EU abides by any law. You point out the theft of Russian reserves, and of course your post addresses the theft of chip manufacturing. I actually think the last shred of integrity bit the dust with Poland's refusal to indict an alleged war criminal whose actions targeted a German asset. With that, Poland announced that any action, terrorist or not, ecocidal or not, targeted against whatever entity, was fine so long as it harmed Russia. And Italy is now making the same statement. I'm not hearing any criticism by Ursala van der Liar or any of the other clowns in the EU or NATO.

I wouldn't call it a tragedy, though. The EU was primarily designed as a vehicle to promote authoritarianism, and it has achieved its purpose.

Expropriation is a nice way of saying, "Nationalisation of Private Assets by the State", and comes straight from the Communist playbook whom Western countries keep referring to as the "evil ones".
