A Capitalist Inside North Korea—Yes, Really

TikTok loved a story that mainstream media would have rejected as biased, partisan, or whatever they project onto it.

Someone I’ve never even met made a TikTok post about the “Capitalist in North Korea” who lived and worked there for seven years—no joke. And it blew up: over 8,000 likes and more than 200 comments. Wow.

That’s definitely not the kind of reaction I would have received from mainstream media audiences, who tend to be quite hostile toward anyone engaging with this underreported and usually misrepresented country, or from Wikipedia editors, which is not the neutral encyclopedia it claims to be.
